Between 1994 and 2000, the weekly Carta Abierta, directed by Jaime Smart, Álvaro Gaviña and Agustín Smart, published articles about the history, tradition and culture of San Isidro. They were written by a prestigious historian, Bernardo Lozier Almazán. Some time later, Carta Abierta published five booklets with a selection of those articles.
