This book is a complete catalogue of high quality images of Argentine birds that were painted by scientific travelers and artists, experts in ornithology. Their drawings, engravings and paintings represent and show the specific characteristics of each order.
Although artistic interpretations are often free, these representations serve to recognize general peculiarities of each family of birds, since, in many cases, these characteristics have been exaggerated and highlighted with great detail and, what is most important and which is the aim of this book, show the artistic flight of the first observers and ornithological classifiers of the 18th and 19th centuries.
