This book contains the characteristics and designs of many of the best and oldest "labour ponchos" we have found. Among them is the famous poncho that the Pehuenche indians presented to General Don José de San Martín. The study of this poncho was possible thanks to the help provided by the staff of the National Historical Museum.
Our thanks to all enthusiastic collectors for their kind collaboration as well. Their ponchos were thoroughly analyzed so that the book will provide a database that can be consulted by collectors, artisans and amateurs.
